Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre

The Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre (SOURC), which is located at the entrance of Sepilok Forest Reserves has been in existence since 1964. The Centre offers varieties of nature experiences such as nature talks, wildlife photography exhibitions, live orang utan observation during feeding time in semi-natural environment, filming, photography etc. SOURC is well-known as a wildlife based eco-tourism destination worldwide. Sepilok-Kabilit Forest Reserve flora is the best known in the State, with over 450 different species of trees. In term of its faunal richness, it boasts over 90 species of mammals and 209 species of resident birds.

You can visit the Centre any time of the year. Conservation operation of the Centre is increasing annually, thus the Government has introduced the following fees to support management and protection efforts:
 
Fee for Malaysian citizens aged 18 years and above  RM1.00
Fee for Malaysian citizens aged below 18 years     RM0.50
Fee for non-citizens aged 18 years and above  RM10.00
Fee for non-citizens aged below 18 years  RM5.00
Fee to Sumatran Rhinoceros enclosure for persons aged 18 years and above  RM2.00
Fee to Sumatran Rhinoceros enclosure for persons aged below 18 years RM1.00
Fee for video etc. for commercial purposes   RM500.00 per unit
Fee for video etc. for personal purposes   RM10.00 per unit
Fee for camera photography for professional or commercial purposes RM100.00 per unit
Fee for filming RM1,000.00 for a period not exceeding 7 days
